Our History
The Beginning: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Siwek Lumber was founded in 1933 by Joseph Siwek in Minneapolis, Minnesota. What began as a small lumberyard has grown into a trusted supplier of quality building materials and supplies for contractors, builders, and DIY enthusiasts throughout the region.
For nearly 90 years, the Siwek name has stood for reliability, quality, and exceptional service—values we continue to uphold to this day.
Expansion to Hillsboro
In 2024, Siwek Lumber opened our newest location in Hillsboro, North Dakota. This expansion brings our full-service lumberyard and comprehensive hardware store to the region while maintaining the same commitment to quality and service that has defined us for nearly a century.
Our Hillsboro location features a spacious 12,000-square-foot hardware store, 12,000 heated lumber yard and thousands of square feet of displays. full inventory of construction and specialty lumber, and our dedicated team ready to serve your building needs.
